How do bottom freezer refrigerators work?
For years, though, we thought the reason most brands couldn’t get low enough to keep food safe was because the bottom wasn’t big enough. Yes, that bottom was big enough for easy access to foods. But that bottom didn’t allow a vacuum system to circulate cold air to keep food warm, or high enough for food that was too heavy. And that bottom wasn’t big enough for a food in a refrigerator on the bottom.
Bottom freezer refrigerators are refrigeration systems specifically designed to be placed near the bottom of the freezer. The door of the bottom freezer is then closed while the whole system runs. The inside of the bottom freezer is slightly cooled to get rid of the freezer’s operating temperature and instead of warming the room, it allows the interior to get closer to its original temperature. This makes the bottom freezer refrigeration system a more efficient system.

Why do I need a bottom freezer?
